Drama At The State Capitol:GOP Budget Passes Senate As 3 Democratic Senators Vote With Republicans

 

A huge development at the state capitol occurred Friday after three Democrat senators defected and supported the GOP budget.

HARTFORD, CT The political intrigue under the Golden Dome in Hartford reached new levels Friday after three Democrat senators defected and supported the Republican budget. Just a day ago the expectation was that the Democrat budget would pass both chambers and head to a quick signature from Gov. Dannel Malloy.

 

The Democrats proposed budget would have created tens of millions of dollars in new taxes and potentially pave the way for bringing back tolls in Connecticut. But all of that is on hold for now after the stunning vote in the State Senate. Continue reading at More
